JANUARY 2019

From Our President

Dear Friends,

I want to take this opportunity to thank our numerous volunteers that keep the Avon Park camp meeting and community running smoothly. Without your availability and giftedness we could not survive. You are a vital part of any and all success that we have as a ministry.

It is my prayer that the Lord will bless you for all you do to make this a wonderful place to live and to worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.

Our annual camp meeting will soon be here. Your prayers for the camp meeting are vitally important. Let's expect great things from the Lord. "Prayer changes things."

Grace & Peace,
-- Tom Hermiz

From our Treasurer

Greetings from the Treasurer's Office,

Year end reports are keeping the Treasurer and staff busy, can't even believe it is that time already. So good to have so many residents returning and their rents do help with the cash flow. We still depend heavily upon you all to help us meet the 24/7 needs with your generous contributions. You may be surprised to know, as I was, that our Annual Fixed Expenses such as: Insurance, Payroll, Electric, Water-Garbage-Sewer, etc. amounts to $270,000.00 per year. That does not include general operating expenses such as maintenance, etc.

Your Administrative Team tries to keep expenses as minimum as possible but as you know there are always contingencies. You are a very vital part of Avon Park Camp Meeting and we appreciate all you do: those who volunteer, pray and give. We love you all and pray for you too.

Blessings,
-- Bonnie Hudson, Treasurer

OBEDIENCE AND PEACE

Our Father, you want to give us your peaceful presence throughout our lives, but we rebel. We seek our own ways. When we ask, “Where is peace?” remind us of your words:

“If only you had paid attention to my commands, your peace would have been like a river”…. “There is no peace,” says the LORD, “for the wicked.” -- Isaiah 48:18a,22

“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” -- Luke 2:14

“I ask that we love one another. And this is love; that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, His command is that you walk in love.” -- 2 John 1:5b-6

Teach us to be obedient in faith, to live and walk in your love. Help us live in the truth that although the world may seem to be against us, as we please you, your presence will give us peace. Amen
